AI Prompt Genius Privacy Policy

Welcome to AI Prompt Genius! This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and disclose information about you when you use our website, browser extension, and services.

Our Approach: Local-First, Account Optional

AI Prompt Genius works entirely on your device by default. You do not need an account to use it. When you use the extension without signing in, all of your data — your prompts, folders, and settings — is stored locally on your device, and we have no access to it.

Creating an account and enabling cloud syncing is completely optional and opt-in. You only share data with us if you choose to sign in and turn on syncing.

Information We Collect

If you do not create an account: We do not collect, sell, or store any of your personal information. Everything stays in your browser's local storage on your device.

If you opt in to an account and cloud syncing, we store:

• Your email address, used to create and identify your account.
• Your prompts and folders, so we can sync them across your devices.
• Your settings, so your preferences follow you between devices.

We use a third-party authentication provider (WorkOS) to securely handle sign-in. We do not store your password.

How We Use Your Data

We use the data you choose to sync only to provide the service: to save your prompts and folders and keep them in sync across the devices where you are signed in.

We do not sell your data or your prompts, and we do not use your prompt content for advertising.

You can export your data at any time in its raw CSV format.

Administration

To operate, maintain, secure, and support the service, our administrators may view aggregate account information — including your email address, the number of prompts you have saved, and the approximate storage your prompts occupy. We do not access this data for any purpose other than running and supporting the service.

Deleting Your Account and Data

You are in control of your data at all times.

• You can turn off cloud syncing whenever you like and continue using AI Prompt Genius locally.
• You can delete your account at any time from within the app. Deleting your account permanently removes your synced prompts, folders, settings, and account record from our systems, and deletes your account with our authentication provider.
• Data stored locally on your device remains on your device and can be cleared by removing the extension or clearing its local storage.

Data Security

Your locally stored data stays with you on your device. For data you choose to sync, we take reasonable measures to protect it in transit and at rest, and we limit access to what is necessary to operate the service.

Bug Reporting

If you encounter a bug, please raise an issue on our GitHub repository. We will work on resolving the problem as soon as possible.

Feature Ideas

We welcome your ideas for improving our extension. Please share your thoughts in our GitHub repository discussions.

Open Source

This project is open-source. You can read the code on our GitHub repository and contribute to improvements.
